Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has signed the anti-open grazing bill into law.
With this, Anambra has joined other southern states who had unanimously agreed to outlaw the practice.
Governor Obiano assented to the Cattle and Other Livestock Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Bill of Anambra State on Friday at the Governor’s Lodge in Awka.
He thanked the State House of Assembly for speeding up the passing of the bill, saying that the establishment of the law will hopefully enable entrenchment of peace.
