Two first-half goals from Leon Balogun and Victor Osimhen helped Nigeria defeat the Central African Republic in the return fixture of their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Following their 1-0 defeat in Lagos on Thursday, Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr changed his tactics, going for a more attacking starting XI with Ahmed Musa making his 100th appearance for the West Africans.

The Nigerians started Sunday’s encounter as the better side with more possession had a chance as early as in the ninth minute, with Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho combining but the Napoli striker was not able to finish off the move.
