Okorocha Left Harmful Legacies, Wasted Public Resources – Imo Govt

Rochas Okorocha

Former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha has been accused of wasting public funds on substandard projects and leaving harmful legacies.

The accusation comes from state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, who stated that the embattled Senator places his ego above the safety of people’s lives.

Emelumba, who stated this in Owerri, on Monday, explained that the Governor Hope Uzodinma-led administration was more interested in safeguarding the lives of the citizens of state.

He added that the current administration in the state was not interested in the “preservation of the disgusting and harmful legacies of the Okorocha administration which constituted a serious threat to lives.”

“Okorocha is placing his ego above the safety of the citizenry. It was by the sheer grace of God that the Centre did not collapse and claim innocent lives before now.

“The government has the responsibility to secure the lives of both citizens and visitors by ensuring that anything that constitutes a threat to them is addressed,” he added.
