Bandits on Sunday, abducted babies, nurses and security guards from the residential quarters of the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Centre (NTLC) in Zaria, Kaduna State.
VANTAGE NEWS learnt that the bandits stormed the area from a nearby forest, engaged police officers in a gun battle before they escaped with their victims.
The Kaduna Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, has since confirmed the incident.
A former minister of aviation, while reacting in a tweet, said, “Babies abducted from a hospital by terrorists in Kaduna? What a country!”

The total number of babies abducted by the bandits is yet to be known as at the time of filing the report.
