Nnamdi Kanu Appears In Court, Remanded Till July 26

The rearrested leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has been remanded in prison by a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.

VANTAGE NEWS reported that Kanu was rearrested by a combined team of Nigerian and foreign security agents in a coordinated interception.

The court granted the request by the Department of State Services (DSS) to remand the former fugitive leader of the secessionist group on charges bothering on alleged treason.

Presiding Judge, Binta Nyako, said Kanu, who appeared in court without his defense team will be remanded pending the determination of his trial.
