Neymar Scores As Brazil Beat Venezuela In Copa America Opener


The delayed 2020 Copa America kicked-off yesterday with a match between Brazil and Venezuela at the Mane Garrincha Stadium in Brasilia.

Brazil took over the hosting of the tournament barely two weeks ago following the withdrawal of Argentina over the spread of COVID-19 virus in the country.

Paris Saint-Germain defender, Marquinhos gave Brazil a 23rd minute lead before his club teammate, Neymar converted a 64th minute penalty to give the Selecao a two-goal lead.

Gabriel Barbosa rounded-off the scoring in the 89th minute of the encounter.
