Trump Rejoices Over Nigeria’s Twitter Ban, Calls More Countries To Take Similar Action

Former United States President, Donald Trump has congratulated the government of President Muhammadu Buhari for indefinitely suspending microblogging site, Twitter in Nigeria.

Trump, who was banned by Twitter for violating many of its policies while in office as the 45th president of the United States, asked other countries to take similar action against the social media platform.

Trump made this known in a statement, titled, “Statement by Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States,”

It read partly, “Congratulations to the country of Nigeria, who just banned Twitter because they banned their president.

“More countries should ban Twitter and Facebook for not allowing free and open speech – all voices should be heard.”

“Who are they to dictate good and evil?” Trump asked.

Trump revealed he would have banned the social media websites while in office but Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook kept visiting him for dinner and praising his administration.
