Super Eagles Fail In Revenge Mission Against Cameroon

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, on Tuesday, played a goalless draw in the second of the two-legged international friendly tie against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

Nigeria also failed to score a goal in the tow-legged tie played at the Weiner Neustadt Stadium, Vienna in Austria having lost the first match by a loan goal to the coach António Conceicao-led Cameroon side.

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr made two changes to the side that started on Friday, with Ahmed Musa and Valentine Ozornwafor coming in for Oghenekaro Etebo and William Troost Ekong, respectively.

The team struggled to create chances in the game and were lucky not to be behind in the first half as Cameroon’s goal was ruled out for offside by the referee.

Super Eagles will next face Mexico in another international friendly at the Los Angeles Coliseum on July 4.
