Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to leave twitter alongside his media handlers.
Omokri’s statement comes in the wake of twitter’s removal of a post by Buhari that violates its rules.
Buhari had tweeted on Tuesday, threatening a repeat of the civil war that led to the death of millions.
Reacting, the presidency through the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, accused twitter of double standards, adding that the social media giant has questionable motive in the country.
Omokri, in a tweet, asked the presidency to leave twitter since it is no longher comfortable with the app.

Since you say @Twitter’s mission to Nigeria “suspect”, what are you still doing on their platform? Leave. Vamoose! And take your paid propagandists, @FemAdesina, and the Any Government in Power @GarShehu with you. You wont be missed! #TwitterSuspendBuharisAccount#TableShaker
