VANTAGE NEWS reported that Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, detained by police for allegedly molesting a minor sexually has been granted bail.
The news is generating reactions from Nigerians on twitter.
See what tweeps are saying below:
Baba Ijesha and other accused persons, are presumed innocent, until they are proven to be guilty by the state, and are entitled to the full protection of the law. If I was still practicing, I’d be happy to defend him, it is not an endorsement of the man or his alleged crimes..😏 https://t.co/IcwFHcQqt0

I commend my boss and all-time mentor, Ademola Adesina Ogunlana Esq, for stepping in to defend Baba Ijesha's fundamental rights. Ijesha has been granted bail, in furtherance of his human rights. This is just the right thing to do. When court resumes, fair trial should commence.

What did Iyabo Ojo do wrong by fronting this case, for real? Like why are people mocking her after Baba Ijesha was granted bail? Are some people even okay at all? Have we totally lost our integrity and humanity?

The law isn’t about emotions! Talking about “she’s not my daughter”… so bc Baba Ijesha is not my uncle too, I should support him rotting in jail for a bailable offense? It goes both ways! Logics and emotions are never friends!
Let the law run its course. 🤷

Some of you here making nasty comments about Iyabo Ojo's threat after Baba Ijesha was granted bail are just very stupid and I'm here to tell you that. It's always fun until it happens to your very own and then you expect people to support and stand by you.

Personally, I never praised what Baba Ijesha did. It was demeaning, but all I pointed out was:
1. He never committed rape.
2. The story about him raping the girl before doesn't hold water without concrete evidence.
3. Let us try to let the law run its full course.

We are insulting Ordinary President but supporting the continuous detention of Baba Ijesha because of the same "Human Right". We need to know emotions doesn't win case but Facts & Figures

A good number of us wanted Baba Ijesha to be slapped during that confession video. Double standard app!

Condemning Iyabo Ojo is not the right thing to do, she used her platform to create awareness, and the Nigerian Police shouldn't be condemned either because the is the law.
Even in advanced countries, Baba Ijesha will still be granted bail but that doesn't mean he has no case.

Baba Ijesha being granted bail doesn't mean he will escape justice. Stop with the tantrums at Iyabo Ojo, pedo apologists.

The supposed leaders of tomorrow celebrating cos baba ijesha, a pedophile was granted bail and shaming iyabo ojo for standing against sexual assaults against a minor 😐
Later , we say the older ones are the problem

Lol Baba Ijesha was released on bail doesn't collapse the case.
The case will still be trialed in court.
Iyabo Ojo will remain the woman who stood fervently against abuse.
Yomi Fabiyi will remain the rape/molestation apologist, enabler and overall disgusting human.
