A former Vice President, Atike Abubakar, has reacted to the rape and brutal killing of a young job seeker in Akwa Ibom State, Iniubong Umoren.
In a tweet, the 2019 vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said that the search for Iniubong united Nigerians.
He said, “Over the past two days, I saw how Iniubong Umoren united Nigerians in a way that was admirable, yet, tragic. This is heart-rending.”
Atiku joined the call for justice saying, “I call on the Nigeria Police and other security agencies to do all within their powers to ensure that justice prevails for her family and all Nigerians. They made great efforts to #FindHinnyHumoren.”
He also prayed God to be with her family as they grieve the unfortunate loss of their daughter.
“May God grant her family and friends the fortitude to bear the loss of such a young Nigerian who only sought an honest living.
“#JusticeforHinyHumoren,” he said.
