Landlords In Outskirts Of Kaduna Abandon Homes Over Insecurity – Senator

Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, has said that many house owners in outskirts of Kaduna State have rented apartments deep inside the city for safety reasons.

In a tweet early on Saturday, the outspoken senator said, “Some people who own houses in the Outskirts of Kaduna are abandoning them for rented apartments deep inside the city where it’s relatively safer.Sometimes it’s safer to be a tenant than being a Landlord.”

Kaduna is one of the worst hit states by bandits.

VANTAGE NEWS reported that the state government announced on Friday that bandits killed 323 people and abducted 949 others since January in the state.
