Football fans have taken to twitter to react over the formation of Super League by 12 teams in Europe.
See reactions below:
Couldn’t even care less about how this season finishes now. Our season is finished from today. The 12 clubs should be ashamed. They’ve chosen the money over fans & football is nothing without fans.

Speaking to people in UEFA this morning there is a genuine want for the 12 to be immediately dismissed from all UEFA club competitions – and for Real, Barcelona, AC Milan and Liverpool to be stripped of their badges of honour. Suffice to say there are a lot of angry people there.

Of the 12 founding clubs of the Lesser Super League, four of them have never won the European Cup.

Arsenal’s announcement is so proud, I’m screaming. Two clubs didn’t tweet anything, two tweeted the exact same, the other just said “club statement. Then Arsenal, “We are one of the 12 Founding Clubs…” 😂😂

Really looking forward to hearing the arguments for WHY the ESL should happen from the 12 clubs. Should made for some great debates about current state of football.

Looking forward to the compromise with UEFA and the clubs….which, I sense, is what this is all been designed for. A power play.

Could happen! But the 12 have lost the PR-battle already. In a few hours they have managed to turn UEFA into a foundation of Mother Teresa

When you read statement of #SuperLeague you see the word “pyramid” is used more frequently than the word “fans”
You also see that €3.5Bn will be shared between the 12/15 founding members – that’s the top of pyramid
You also begin to see it’s the first hand in a game of poker

I wonder if the 12 clubs in the breakaway will start a weekly comedy YouTube show called “Being The Elite” pic.twitter.com/8VMWxhVj9s

Only a matter of hours perhaps days for the topic to be way more intense at Bayern. They will have to act fast. Club will already be behind the 12 "founding" clubs so likely to affect revenue from the competition. 12 clubs decided to take hostage the entire football planet.

To all my fellow PSG friends. I wouldn't be to cocky regarding us not being part of the 12 superleague teams. Depending on how this circus develops I wouldn't be surprised if we were part of it eventually. Now that there is something concrete to discuss about between clubs and..

If the 12 clubs manage to get more clubs to join them, then it’s sealed. I have a feeling they could pull it off #europeansuperleague

Does anyone actually believe that UEFA, FIFA, PL etc have the bollox to kick out the 12 money grabbing snakes from domestic football and ban players from internationals?Let’s not forget those organisations are corrupt. The game is no longer the game of the people. RIP FOOTBALL.
