VANTAGE NEWS reported that Fulani herdsmen in the early hours of Monday attacked a village in Ngbo community of Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The attack which reportedly led to the loss of many lives and destruction of properties comes barely two weeks after a deadly attack by the marauding Fulani herdsmen in two communities in the state led to the death of over 16 persons.
The Ebonyi State government in a statement issued by the Deputy Governor, Kelechi Igwe, some hours after the attack said the attack was not carried out by Fulani herdsmen.
“So far, preliminary investigations reveal that the attack was not carried out by Fulani herdsmen as being speculated in different quarters but is linked to the age-long crisis between the community and their Agila neighbours of Benue State,” the statement read partly.
However, many residents insist the attackers were herdsmen.
Some Nigerians on twitter are angry over the situation.

Now that we know it wasn't Fulani herdsmen that attacked Ebonyi community, who's going to be the first to tender an unreserved apology?
I will expect Dr Joe Abah to go first, every time they hurriedly accuse Fulani herdsmen, after careful investigation, it's always been a lie
