IGP Talks Tough, Says ‘No Murder Will Go Unpunished’

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has said that all those involved in recent attack and killing of policemen will be arrested and prosecuted.

While condemning the murder of security operatives and attacks on facilities in some states of the federation, Adamu in a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesman, Frank Mba, stated that the Force will not tolerate any further attack.

The IGP who enjoined parents/guardians and traditional rulers to advise their wards to desist from crime, added that “No murderer will go unpunished.”

Recall that in recent times, the police has faced series of violent and unprovoked attacks, particularly in Anambra state.

Adamu stated further that the “Law Enforcement Agents have gathered sufficient intelligence on the attackers and are closing up on scores of suspects already implicated in the attacks either directly or indirectly for financing, aiding and abetting the criminals.”
