Super Eagles attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho was on song for Liecester City in their 5-0 trouncing of bottom side, Sheffield United at the King Power Stadium.
Iheanacho gave his side the lead in the 39th minute thanks to a Jamie Vardy assist before adding to his tally in the 69th minute after another assist from Vardy.
The former Manchester City player completed his hat-trick in the 78th minute after being assisted by Nigerian compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi.
It was Iheanacho’s first Premier League career hat-trick.
Iheanacho also scored in three consecutive English elite division appearances for the first time.
Ayoze Perez scored Leicester’s second goal of the game in the 64th minute while an own goal by Chelsea loanee, Ethan Ampadu in the 80th minute summarized the bad day for Sheffield that just parted ways with long time coach, Chris Wilder.
The victory ensured that the coach Brendan Rodger’s side moved to second place on 59 points, two ahead of Manchester United who host West Ham United later on Sunday.
