There was a mild drama as popular activist, Omoyele Sowore appeared in court on Tuesday ahead of his trial in company of a traditional spiritual leader.
The traditional spiritual leader appeared in solidarity with Sowore at the Wuse, Zone 2 Magistrate Court Abuja.
He was seen waving his horsewhip and gourd in the air while chanting ahead of the commencement of trial.
Sowore is standing trial alongside four others over alleged criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and inciting public disturbance.
They were arrested on New Year’s Eve for organising a candlelight procession.
