A Sociology student of the University of Ibadan (UI), Emmanuel Odetunde, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen who broke into his father’s farm in Oke Odan, Apete area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Monday.

VANTAGE NEWS learnt that the kidnappers have demanded N100m ransom from his family to free him.

According to various sources, the kidnappers who are alleged to be four herders first demanded for Odetunde’s father. They abducted him after being informed by workers in the farm that Odetunde’s father was not around.

The Police have said that they are working alongside other security agencies to successfully rescue the victim.

This was amde known by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi, in a statement.
