Following intelligence report, the police in Anambra state on Friday, Feb 19, Invaded No.13 Akunwanta Mbamalu Street, Federal Housing Estates 3-3 Nkwelle Ezunaka, where they found three children locked up in a room.
The three children were battered beyond recognition even as they were dumped in a room room filled with fetish items.
Vantage News has confirmed that two women has been detained in connection with the case.
According to the Anambra state police, the women identified as Rejoice Raymond, 39, and Chidi Felicia Nwafor, 80, were arrested by police operatives attached to 3-3 Police Station Nkwelle.
2 boys and a girl were rescued. They were badly bruised and were looking malnourished. They had broken bones.

Sources say she’s the landlady of the house where she was apprehended.

Recall that days back, Vantage News reported that two children were declared missing in Anambra by the state police command.
It is however unclear whether the children were among those rescued this morning but anyone looking for a child or children is advised to visit 33 police station for verification.

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Monday Bala Kuryas has also ordered a thorough but discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case after which suspects would be brought to justice.
