Gifts are special and heartwarming to the receiver as the bible says in Proverbs 16:18; “a gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.”
The feeling of euphoria attached to receiving gifts from your loved ones is specially reserved for that person who gifts you. This feeling heightens when it’s unexpected and an item you really really want.
If gifting is special, then Gifts on special days as Valentine day is even more special and should be properly prepared for. You can’t just walk into a store, pick any item on display and wrap it up for your beloved without considering if they’ll appreciate the item. It’s an effort you don’t want to waste. If it’s worth doing, do it well then.
Valentine day is one of the few special occasions to surprise your loved ones with gifts, but it can go sour if your gift is not properly appreciated by your lover. No emotion is as cherished and sought after as love. Yet most people fail miserably at picking the best gifts for their beloved.
To prevent that strenuous unappreciated store trip, consider these before deciding on a gift.
Your lover’s pressing needs at the moment: Buying Teddy bear for someone who needs clothes is a waste of trip and thoughts. Therefore, through constant interaction with your lover, you should be able to discern what he/she needs at the moment and gift them that.
Know what your partner likes: Your love covers your partner’s choices, what she likes and dislikes, this is to prevent buying something he/she is allergic to.
Jewelries: Jewelries as rings, anklets, bracelets, necklaces, wristwatch and earrings; are not your everyday purchased items and will be well appreciated this Valentine. New designs of these items come out daily and they are affordable.
Hand crafts: this kind of gift is not your regular gift items. It’s for VIP’s who have almost everything and you’re confused on what to gift them because everything on sale is in their inheritance. How about a specially knit hand towel, table mat, throw pillows, their picture canvas, even a painting of them is charming as they don’t always have the time to get those things.
Regal Flowers: this is pretty cliché but it still makes the receivers hearts go fonder. Red roses with heart shaped candy boxes exudes charm and will do the magic.
Perfumes: You know that special fragrance he /she likes to use often but doesn’t seem to have enough of? Go get it for them and watch your love wax stronger.
Surprise Date: Organize a surprise date in their favourite restaurant and treat them to a special menu. They won’t be forgetting this Valentine in a hurry.
Cook her favourite: As a husband; you can surprise your wife by making her favourite dish surprisingly and she’ll keep adoring you forever.
Gift cards with romantic notes: Men do not expect love letters as much as women. Probably, men don’t even expect a written reply to their own love letters. But love letters are always appreciated by women if they enjoy at some level the attention of the man writing them. So yes, it’s still so much in vogue.
Surprise meets and greet with favourite artists: you can organise a surprise meeting with your partner’s best artist and he/she’ll wish every day to be Valentine.
These gift ideas will definitely put a smile on your lovers face without breaking the bank.
No way won’t you over there be celebrating this special day as Single Awareness Day by dining alone and binging on self-gifted chocolates. Check on your relatives and call your long lost friends to reestablish that friendship. It’s all acts of love.
Hear what 1 John 4:7-12 says; “Dear friends: let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love”
