Some Nigerians have taken to twitter to blast the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed for saying that Fulani herdsmen carry AK-47 for self-defence.
VANTAGE NEWS reported that the governor who spoke at the closing ceremony of the 2021 Press Week of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Bauchi State Council on Thursday at the Command Guest House, condemned the quit notice given to Fulani herdsmen in some southern states.

You excuse Fulani herdsmen for carrying AK-47 against cattle hustlers and restrict Nigerians from arming themselves with same against killer Fulani herdsmen. Are we practicing Fulanicracy?

Farmers and villagers would then need to carry AK47 to protect themselves too shikena

Unfortunately Blood of Jesus can't save you when a criminal herdsman accosts you with an AK-47.

Have they not been peaceful?…herdsmen carrying unlicensed AK47 is a normal thing right? If all Nigerian starts acquiring AK47 for protection due to failed government this country will not be at peace.

If fulani herders are justify to carry AK47 riffle for self defence, then people from other region should also be allowed to carry Ak47 for self preservation.#Everylifematters.

Since they are being killed, their farms are being destroyed and government has not protected them, Ak-49 or M16 rifle with full body armour will be just right to protect them from AK-47 bearing attackers https://t.co/AfmFxH5Vpe
