Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant on new media to President Muhammadu Buhari, has opposed the rumoured defection of Femi Fani-Kayode to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ahmad in a series of tweet, blasted the former minister of aviation who is a known critic of the Buhari-led APC federal government.
Retweeting a post where Fani-Kayode accused the APC of being the military wing of Boko Haram in 2014, Ahmad said, “They said he is now considering to join the POLITICAL WING OF BOKO HARAM, I do hope he’s successfully completed the required training, so he could be decorated as one of the great commanders of the wing. And when successfully joined, he will be one of the recognized ‘murderers’.”
He also accused Fani-Kayode of lying aginst the APC, saying, “He has publicly fabricated stories, insulted, damaged and distorted information about our party and our leaders. The elementary rule of decency would require some good distance between our leaders and such a person, DG PGF, Mr. Salihu Lukman has warned.”
The social media aide added, “If I were him, I would never even think of joining the Almajiri People Congress.”
He concluded by saying, “Please stay in your lane, sir.”
