Kaduna Police Recovers Four AK-47 Rifles From Late Bandit

Troops of Operation Thunder Strike (OPTS) of the Kaduna state Police Command have reported the recovery of four AK47 rifles which were part of a stash belonging to the late bandit, Nasiru Kachalla.

Addressing newsmen on Monday, the Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said local human intelligence aided the recovery of the weapons.

Nasiru Kachalla was killed late in December 2020 in a forest around the boundaries of Kajuru-Chikun local government, during a clash between his gang and a rival group of bandits.

Kachalla was notorious for several crimes including high-profile kidnappings, killings and banditry on the Kaduna-Abuja road.
