Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has said that Thiago Silva would miss Sunday’s Premier League clash with Sheffield United.
The Brazilian defender who has been a key player at the heart of Chelsea’s defence, got injured in the 36th minute of yesterday’s London derby that Chelsea won 1-0 against Tottenham.
Speaking after the game, Tuchel said that the 36-year-old might not recover in time for the Sheffield clash this weekend.
“It will be very tight for Sunday’s game, only two days recovery,” Tuchels told Chelsea official website.
“It is too early to give a diagnosis because I saw him very briefly with a big strap around his muscle.
“We will have to wait until tomorrow so we can confirm it, but I think for Sunday he is a big doubt.”
