President Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday, renewed his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.
The President was accompanied by some top government officials, including the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan and 10 governors of the APC.
In a statement, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, while disclosing the number of governors that accompanied Buhari for the exercise in a statement, said, “We have nothing to hide, our books will always be open – President Buhari.”

The statement read in part, “The President’s registration exercise in Daura was attended by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; former Senate President, Ken Nnamani; 10 governors, including the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, who is the Chairman of the APC Caretaker Committee, and other party stalwarts.”
Governors that accompanied the President include, Mai Buni (Yobe), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun); Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano); Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi); Muhammad Badaru (Jigawa); and Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe).
Others include: Hope Uzodinma (Imo); Adulrahman Abdulrasaq, (Kwara); Simon Lalong (Plateau); and Aminu Masari (Katsina).
