1. Boko Haram: Buhari Reacts To Beheading Of 43 Farmers In Maiduguri

The President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the killing of farm workers near Maiduguri in Borno State. Earlier, VANTAGE NEWS reported that Boko Haram fighters killed at least 43 farm workers and injured six in rice fields near Maiduguri, the Borno State capital on Saturday.

2. Boko Haram Reportedly Beheads 43 Farmers In Maiduguri

Suspected Boko Haram members reportedly executed forty-three farmers on Saturday, according to HumAngle. The news platform said the farmers were killed in Zabarmari, about 20 kilometres from Maiduguri, the Borno capital where Nigerian military has used as headquarters in the ongoing war against insurgency.

3. Zarbamari Massacre: Amnesty International Reacts To Beheading Of 43 Farmers In Borno

Global human rights organisation, Amnesty International, has strongly condemned the alleged beheading of 43 farmers by Boko Haram insurgents in Zarbamari village, Borno State. In a tweet, the huma rights group stated that targeting civilians shows Boko Haram’s contempt for human life.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has agreed to call of its eight-month strike which has halted academic activities in the public universities since March. The union leadership reached the agreement during a meeting with the government team led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, in Abuja, on Friday.

6. Two Suspected Armed Robbers Gunned Down, 8 Others Arrested in Akwa Ibom

Two suspected armed robbers have been reportedly shot dead during an encounter with the police in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom. During a news briefing on Friday,  November 27, a spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Odiko MacDon, who confirmed the development, narrated how the police swung into action after receiving a distress call about an ongoing armed robbery operation at Obo Annang Junction in Essien Udim on November 25.

7. Gunmen Abduct Chinese Expatriate, Driver As Youths Foil Another Kidnap Attempt In Taraba

A suspected kidnapper has been apprehended by youths in Mararaba Baissa, Donaga Local Government Area of Taraba State after his gangs plot to abduct a Chinese national failed. This happened on Tuesday November 24,  hours after another gang of kidnappers, whisked a Chinese expatriate and his driver in Donga, Taraba away to an unknown destination.

8. Yahaya Bello Under Pressure To Run For 2023 Presidency, Says Kogi Commissioner

The commissioner for information and communication in Kogi State, Kingsley Fanwo, says many people have asked his principal, governor Yahaya Bello to contest the 2023 presidential race. In a Twitter post on Saturday, Fanwo said the desire of Nigerians for a great country aligns with that of Bello, “so we know the deafening calls will bring about a defining moment for our nation.”

9. Welder Killed In Anambra As Tanker Explodes While He Was Patching It’s Loopholes

A tanker explosion has in Anambra state has claimed the life of a welder at a mechanic workshop in Oyi Local Government Area. Confirming the tragic incident, the Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed, narrated, the explosion occurred on Saturday, November 28, about 2:30pm, at a mechanic workshop along new road toll gate in Ogbunike.

10. EPL: Man City On Fire As Liverpool Drop Points

Manchester City were on fire in the Premier League game played on Saturday against Burnley. In the game, Riyad Mahrez scored a hat-trick, while Benjamin Mendy and Ferran Torres opened their Premier League goals account as City eased to within six points of league leaders Liverpool with a game in hand.
