Global human rights organisation, Amnesty International, has strongly condemned the alleged beheading of 43 farmers by Boko Haram insurgents in Zarbamari village, Borno State.
In a tweet, the huma rights group stated that targeting civilians shows Boko Haram’s contempt for human life.
Amnesty International wrote, “@HumAngle_reports that today, Boko Haram slaughtered 43 farmers at Zabarmari, less than 20 km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. Such targeting of civilians, once again, shows the group’s contempt for human life.
“Boko Haram has consistently and deliberately targeted civilians in across Borno state. Boko Haram must end its campaign of vicious and unlawful killings of civilians.”
