The former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has subtly mocked Nigeria’s importation of fuel from neighbouring Niger Republic.

VANTAGE NEWS reported that the Ministry of Petroleum Resources in a statement last Thursday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Niger Republic for petroleum products transportation and storage.

It signaled the resumption of importation of fuel from the neighbouring West African country.

Also, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, on Monday, in a live Channels television programme, “Politics Today” said Nigerians should be proud that the Federal Government is set to resume the importation of petroleum products from neighbouring Niger Republic.

Sani, obviously not satisfied with the development took to his twitter handle to mock the government.

He wrote, “I’m proudly over proud that we are now proudly importing fuel from Niger Republic with Pride.”
