An Anambra State governorship aspirant, Godwin Maduka, at the weekend, promised to build a university in each of the 21 Local Government Areas of the state if elected governor.
The United States of America-based medical doctor who is aspiring to contest under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said that he was going to establish the universities to give the people of Anambra greater access to university education.
He added that setting up a university was east, adding that the state should not have a few scattered universities.
Maduka spoke in his home town, Umuchukwu in Orumba South LGA while addressing youths of the community during a programme he organised.
The governorship aspirant was quoted by the Sun as saying that funding will not be a challenge if he prioritises the project.
