The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State, Lawal Dako, has been killed by bandits.

Dako, died at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria, on Friday where he was rushed to after bandits shot at him.

Confirming the death of Dako, the state Chairman of the party, Salisu Majigiri, who described the current security situation in the state as worrisome, revealed that the granddaughter of the slain chairman was also shot and killed by the bandits during the attack.

He stated that the APC government in the state led by Governor Bello Masari have no idea how to handle the insecurity in the state.

Dako, 60, has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
