

The Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi was present at the dedication of the Cathedral building of Nsukka Catholic Diocese.
Ugwuanyi, who was accompanied by many members of the state legislature thanked the Bishop of the diocese, Godfrey Onah for the work he put in to ensure the completion of the cathedral building project that started 29 years ago.
He commended the church for the role it plays in the maintenance of peace and unity in the state, adding that his administration put God at the forefront of its activities.
Dinatories present at the dedication include the former governor and 2019 vice presidential aspitrant, Peter Obi; the Senator representing Enugu North, Chukwuka Utazi; the president-general, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Nnia Nwodo; Senator Ayogu Eze.
Other include the Vice Chancellor, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Charles Igwe; Nsukka Local Governmrnt Chairman, Cosmas Ugwueze, state legislators, knights of the church and many others.
In his address, the Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria, Antonio Filipazzi expressed joy at the dedication, stating that there are many countries today that do not have the peace required to construct a church.
