After 10 days in police custody a Yaba Magistrates court has granted bail to frontliner #EndSARS campaign Eromosele Adene with bond of N1 million.
Recall that earlier in the day, reports went viral of Police preventing both his family members and the media from entering the court for his trial.
A dramatic scene was recorded in the morning of Tuesday November 17, as the Police reportedly prevented family members and media from entering Yaba Magistrates Court where the case of #EndSARS frontliner, Eromosele Adene was to be heard.
Channels TV reported that the Police had used their vehicle to create a barricade on the street leading into the court.
From an online viral video, some family members of Eromosele were seen confronting some officers over their refusal to allow them into the courtroom.
Was seen lamenting she was already inside but came out to meet someone, only to be prevented from going back in, whereas her belongings were inside.
Recall that Vantage News had earlier reported how agents of the Nigerian police cunningly took Eromosele from his family house.
Eromosele was arrested in Lagos on November 7, before being whisked to Abuja for interrogation.
On Sunday, he was returned to Lagos to face charges of criminal incitement, cyber stalking, provoking breach of public peace and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
Already, there is a growing concern amid allegation of the police were secretly meeting the magistrate without Eromosele’s lawyer’s consent.
