Arsenal and Gabon striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has blasted Gambia authorities after passing a night with his team mates in an airport ahead of Monday’s African Cup of Nations qualifier.

Gabon is scheduled to play against the Gambian national team in Bakau but were delayed at the Banjul airport upon arrival on Sunday after it was reported that their passports were ceased over COVID-19 concerns despite providing their tests results for checks by immigration officers.

The Patrice Neveu’s men were seen in a video and pictures posted by Aubameyang on twitter and Instagram lounging around as they await the officials to allow them go to their hotel.

Aubameyang wrote, “Don’t think we’re in, still at the airport.”

Some of the players were later seen in the photos attempting to sleep on the floor of the airport, using their luggage as pillows.

Aubameyang who was getting more frustrated, later wrote, “Still waiting to enter Gambia, and we play at 4 pm. Nice.”

The star was later seen sounding optimistic that the Gambians won’t discourage them ahead of the game.

He later posted a pictures, saying, “Finally in the Bus, see you later, thanks for the extra motivation.”
