President of the Nigerian Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has summoned the coach Gernot Rohr-led technical crew to a crucial meeting on Saturday to discuss the abysmal performance of the Super Eagles in Friday’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone in Benin.
The Super Eagles threw away a 4-goal lead in the encounter played at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium to draw 4-4 with with the West African side currently ranked number 120 by FIFA.
Media department of the NFF said on Friday through a statement that Pinnick called for a meeting with the entire technical crew of the team to discuss the outcome of the encounter.
The statement also revealed that Pinnick had a brief meeting with the team after the game where he charged them to put the disappointment behind them and focus on the return leg in Freetown on Tuesday.
Despite the disappointing outcome of the game, the Super Eagles still lead the group with 7 points from 3 games.
