The Covid-19 tests conducted on all the players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly clash against Tunisia have all returned negative.
Confirming the outcome of the tests, the Nigeria Football Federation tweeted, “Ahead of tonight’s friendly game against Tunisia, all @NGSuperEagles players have tested negative to COVID19. #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong”
The Super Eagles lost its first of the two October international friendly games played at the Jacques Lemans Arena, Austria, against African Champions, Algeria by a lone goal.
The Algerians took an early minute lead and held on to beat the Coach Gernot Rohr-led team.
Nigeria faces Tunisia in the second friendly on Tuesday at the Jacques Lemans Arena, Austria at 7:30pm Nigeria time.
Speaking after the game against Algeria, Rohr, said that there are positives from the match, adding that the team will work hard to beat Tunisia.
He said, “This is a very good test for us. There are positives to pick from a tough game like this. Now we have to recover well and start to plan for the next game on Tuesday against another tough team.”
