The Federal Government and Organised Labour resumed negotiations on Sunday over the recent increase in electricity and petrol prices.

FG and Labour last met on September 28 where the price hikes were discussed and consensus reached, leading to the inauguration of a seven-man Technical Sub-committee headed by the Minister of State Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, to review the hikes in the prices of petrol and electricity.

The seven-man technical sub-committee which was given two weeks was expected to present its report at the Sunday meeting.

The organised labour had in the early hours of Monday, September 28 suspended the industrial action scheduled to hold nationwide following the inauguration of the committee with the promise to review the situation and submit a favourable report.
