The Nigerian Police has said it would hold a question and answer session live on Instagram with Musician, Naira Marley, to discuss issues concerning the call for the end to harassment and intimidation by some operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS).
Naira Marley planned a protest on Tuesday to express dissatisfaction over FSARS’ mode of operation but cancelled it early on Tuesday after the police made promises to swiftly reform the anti-robbery squad.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the force said its Spokesman, DCP Frank Mba will be having a live Instagram chat with the singer to answer questions and discuss the concerns of Nigerians over issues of SARS operations.
The statement read, “Today, Tuesday 6th October, 2020, by 11am, the Force PRO- DCP Frank Mba will be having a live instagram chat with Naira Marley to answer questions and discuss the concerns of young Nigerians on the issues of SARS operations and other burning issues. Please stay tuned.”
