A former Governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Uduaghan, who dumped the PDP in 2018 to join the APC over alleged maladministration and maltreatment made his return to the party in front of thousands of his supporters at his Unit 1, Ward 6, Abigborodo, Warri North Local Government Area of the State on Monday.
The cheering crowd greeted his return to the PDP with cheering support and solidarity songs.
On why he returned to the PDP, Uduaghan stated that he wants to join forces with other great members of the party.
He contested and lost the Delta South Senatorial seat under the platform of the APC in the 2019 general election to the candidate of the PDP, Senator James Manager.
VANTAGE NEWS reported that Uduaghan was making plans to rejoin the PDP having met with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa days back and his predecessor as Governor of the State, James Ibori.
Uduaghan served as the Commissioner for Health and later Secretary to the State Government under the administration of Ibori before becoming the Governor in 2007 and was re-elected in 2011.
