Uruguayan, Luis Suarez, and Portuguese, Nelson Semedo are the latest senior FC Barcelona players to leave the club.

Barcelona announced on Wednesday that it has reached an agreement with rivals, Athletico Madrid for the transfer of Luis Suarez for a fee in the region of 6 million euros.

The club also appreciated Suárez for his commitment and dedication during his time at the Camp Nou.

Suarez won 13 titles in six seasons at the club after signing from English Premier League side, Liverpool in the summer of 2014.

The 33-year-old won four La Liga titles, one UEFA Champions League, four Copa Del Rey tittles, one FIFA Club World Cup, One European Super Cup and two Spanish Super Cups.

With 198 goals in 283 games for Barcelona, Suarez becomes the clubs third highest goal scorer behind César in second and of course, Lionel Messi who tops the chart. He also contributed 97 assists.

Joining Suarez through the exit door is right-back, Nelson Semedo.

The 26-year-old joined English side, Wolverhampton Wanderes in a deal reportedly worth £28m.

Semedo who had a difficult season 2019/2020 season at Barcelona replaces Matt Doherty who left Wolves for Tottenham this summer.

He won two La Liga titles, one Copa Del Rey and One Spanish Super Cup since joining Barcelona in the summer of 2017 from Benfica.

Suarez and Semedo joins Arturo Vidal who recently completed a less than £1m deal to Inter Milan and Ivan Rakitic who rejoined former side, Sevilla  in the list of senior player to move away from the club since the arrival of new coach, Ronald Koeman.
