Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi has pulled out of the October 10 friendly games of Nigeria after sustaining a groin injury.
The Leicester City man is also going to miss Wednesday night’s Carabao cup clash with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, VANTAGE NEWS reports.
The news comes as a blow to both Leicester coach, Brendan Rodgers and Super Eagles handler, Gernot Rohr who rely so much on the 23-year-old.
The player has been playing a new central defensive role for Leicester this season due to injury crisis in the team.
It is yet to be known whether Rohr will replace Ndidi with any of the players on the standby list of the invited players for the October 9 and 13 friendlies against Ivory Coast and Tunisia.
