The Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has rejected the victory of Governor Godwin Obaseki in Saturday’s governorship election.

This was made known by the Chairman of the Edo APC Media Campaign Council, John Mayaki, through a statement issued in Benin City, the Edo State capital on Sunday.

He stated that the party rejected the result, citing alleged arbitrary arrest of the party’s supporters, and fabrication of election figures.

He accused INEC of cancelling results in areas the party won, noting that votes were decreased in their strongholds.

Mayaki accused Obaseki of diverting the peoples attention by raising false alarm that APC were bringing arms for the election.

He thanked the party loyalists for their support, stating that the party will come up with the next line of action after studying the reults.
