The 2019 vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi has described the restriction of the movement of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike as a “negation of democracy”.
Obi noted that “in the spirit of equity & fairness, Gov Wike & @OfficialPDPNig leaders on party assignment should be given equal opportunities as those of the APC.”
The former Governor of Anambra State stated this Friday night through his verified twitter handle.
He accused the police of giving unprecedented access to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors of Kano and Imo States, Abdullahi Ganduje and Hope Uzodinma.
Describing it as a “caricature of the fairness promised by the APC government”, Obi called on the police to be fair and just in the discharge of their duties during the conduct of the election.
