Salah Makes Liverpool History With Goals Against Leeds

Egyptian International, Mohammed Salah made history with his opening goal of the new season in the game against Leeds United on Saturday.

The Liverpool star opened the scoring with a penalty in the fourth minute of the game after his shot was blocked by the outstretched hand of Leed’s Robin Koch inside the penalty area.

The goal meant that the former Chelsea star became the first Liverpool player ever to score on the opening day of four consecutive league seasons.

He is also second in Premier League history behind the legendary Teddy Sheringham.

Salah scored in his Premier League debut on the first day of the season back in August of the 2017/2018 season, against Watford in a game that ended in an entertaining 3-3 draw.

In 2018/2019 season, he opened the scoring in a 4-0 thrashing of West Ham at Anfield on the first day of the season.

Last season against Wolves, he scored a goal and assist once as the Reds beat Norwich 4-1.
